Bike to Work

This year marks the VACC's 5th delivering its spring Bike to Work Week program. Together with our sponsors and supporters, we've inspired significant change in the way Metro Vancouverites commute. In fact, many of the commuter cyclists on the roads today credit our events with getting them out of their cars.

Cycling is growing in Metro Vancouver and the people making the switch are educated, forward-thinking business people with good incomes. Partnering with Bike to Work Week ties your company to a major local movement towards sustainable transportation and employee health, and does so in a unique and dynamic way.

You’re more than just a logo…

The marketing opportunities that arise from sponsorship with Bike to Work Week go well beyond the usual logo recognition benefits, although we offer those as well! The most exciting part of being involved is being present at the Commuter Stations. Commuter Stations are celebrations of cycling, with free breakfasts, warm drinks, helpful bike mechanics, prize draws, and YOU! Over 7000 people stopped by our stations in spring 2010, and they were met with enthusiastic representatives from the VACC and our sponsors. Want to get the word out about a new program or initiative? At Commuter Stations, you get face-to-face contact with hundreds of potential customers in one day!

How do we know BTWW makes a difference?

Each year, Bike to Work Week inspires thousands of commuters to try something new. By challenging them to ride to work for one week, we introduce participants to a healthy, environmentally friendly transportation option in a fun, accessible forum. The feedback is stagering. Many of the commuter cyclists you see on the streets today credit Bike to Work Week with getting them out of their cars. Our website is used year-round by cyclists who track their effots towards sustainability for personal reasons, as well as for prizes during our events.

Join the movement!

Sponsoring Bike to Work for 2010 is a direct, marketable demonstration of your interest in employee well-being and environmental concern. Riding a bicycle is a great way to get around town, avoid traffic), get in shape, save money, and reduce carbon emissions. The VACC is looking forward to a year of great cycling and we’re pleased to invite you to help us promote active transportation in your community, your workplace, and throughout Metro Vancouver.
